BP-1 Pickup

BP-1 will function from either side of the bridge. The treble side is more common for right-handed players.

Hold the bridge with one hand while installing the BP-1 sensor with the other. The sensor will first touch the bridge with the microporous sleeve. Slightly press on the sleeve to make the opening wider, then slip the BP-1 sensor onto the bridge.

The sensor should stay stable on the bridge. If needed, you may move it toward the bottom of the bridge where the bridge is wider. Hold the sensor carefully with your fingers on both sides and carefully slide it down. The sensor should fit tightly but shouldn’t require force to be placed in position. 

For narrower bridges, the provided shims may be required. Peel the protective film off and install on the flat side of the microporous sleeve. For your convenience, stick the shims on the microporous sleeve while it is removed from the sensor. For stable attachment, install as many shims as needed. 

Using the correct-sized wrench, gently loosen and remove the nut from one of the ring clamps. Insert the plastic bracket and tighten the nut with several revolutions.

Carefully insert and position the female jack, then securely tighten the bracket back into place.

With the volume off, plug one end of an instrument cable into BP-1 and the other end into your amplification system. Hold the jack housing firmly when attaching and detaching the cable.
